Introduction: Start Button

This is the start button. it's more useful then just the thing you click when you want to log out. in fact you can access just about anything on your computer from it. it has a search bar, program list, disk drive access, document access, personal folder access, and lastly but definitely not least the log out menu.

Step 1: Search Bar

As you can imagine the search bar is a very useful thing. It allows you to access specific files very easily.

for example if I wanted to access my downloads i would just need to type "downloads" into the search bar and it would come up as the only option.

Step 2: Program List

The program list, as the name suggests is a list of programs installed on your computer. It is very nice to have because it's listed in alphabetical order which your desktop might not be.

Step 3: Disk Drive Access

The disk drive contains everything located on your computer. it also allows you to access the stick-drives if you have any of them in your computer. The link to it is located below the documents tab.

Step 4: Document Access

the documents tab allows you to access your documents. this is very useful if you are using Microsoft word or other applications to create things. it stores all of your projects, finished or not.

Step 5: Personal Folder

The personal folder is located above the documents folder. the personal folder usually is in this format last name, first name. the personal folder stores account specific documents on a computer.

Step 6: Log Out Menu

Most people just hit the big "log out" button when they want to log out. however there is a menu there as well which can allow your computer to enter sleep mode, shut down, restart, hibernate, switch user, or lock.
