Oh wow I completely forgot to put that information in, thanks for reminding me! You're absolutely right, I used 2mm which I think is about 5 oz :)
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! =)
Haha thanks! I'll be sure to let her know what you said :P Thanks for the advice, you've given me a lot to look into and learn for future projects :)
Thanks for the advice! Luckily I got my leather in Ecuador so it's pretty cheap but I'll definitely use something else next time :)
Thank you very much! :)
Exactly! When I first saw a bag like this I knew I had to make it because it looked so cool :)
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for the kind words :) It makes me happy you consider this to be professionally accomplished!
Thanks! I actually was planning on making a full-sized backpack but I decided that before I did that I'd experiment with something a bit smaller so I wouldn't waste as much leather... and trust me I wasted plenty figuring out the right design for this one haha
Thank you very much :)
I knew I've seen your name before, your Instructables are really cool! I hope the bag turns out ok! Please ask me any questions that you may have during the process :)

Thanks! Post pictures of your needle case, I love seeing other peoples' work!
Ahhh this makes me so happy =) Thank YOU for making it!
Yeah, I think it could've used more photos as well. Thanks for the feed back :)
No problem! Let me know how it turns out :)
Thank you! I've really been trying to up the quality of my Instructables :)
The pattern unfolded was 21 cm and the leather I used is much thicker than a cereal box, at least 3 times thicker if not more. Honestly if you found a piece of leather about 1mm thick I think that would be best. And yes, I think thats a cobbler hammer, I found it in ecuador while traveling
Thanks for the info!
Unfortunately I haven't tried to do that, maybe you could stitch it around the perimeter of the pouch and then also stitch it along the inner octogon?
I'm glad you like it :) The hammer I found in some hardware store in ecuador, I've never seen one like it in the states
Let me know how it turns out :)
No, this is actually the first one I ever made. Everyone tells me I should sell them though haha

I loved that book series :)
Thanks for your comment and excellent advice! Ideally, yes, I wouldn't use a nail but as a beginner at leather working I wanted to make this Instructables doable by everyone, even if all they had was a nail haha. I love the idea of extending this medieval theme with other projects. I'm really considering doing it now! :)
Thanks! I can't say I came up with it though :P
When we outline the pattern we just scratch the surface and when we mark the vertices and centers of the ark we don't push the needle all the way through but just enough to create a visible mark later so we can see it later. All of this is done on the grain of the leather. Hope this helps! Post some pics of how it turns out!

Let me know how it goes :)
Thanks! I'm really happy with how it turned out :)
I'll add the conversions for you!
Thanks! I only just started working with leather and it's been very rewarding :) I really love leather now haha
