It becomes tedious task to maintain different email accounts at the same time. So, with the purpose of making things convenient and to get all the emails on a single platform add your Gmail account to Microsoft Outlook. Moreover, in MS Outlook it is easy to block irrelevant email sender’s domain and filter spams.

Step 1: Enable IMAP Settings
Login to Gmail, go to Settings, click on ‘Forwarding and POP/IMAP’ tab and select ‘Enable IMAP’ option. Thereafter, save the changes made.
Step 2: Allow Less Secure Apps to Access Your Account
Go to Google’s less secure app page and turn on access for less secure Apps.
Step 3: Begin Gmail Addition to Outlook
In Outlook, click File and then on ‘Add Account’ option under ‘Account Information’.
Step 4: Opt Manual Procedure
Select ‘Manual setup or additional server types option’ and click ‘Next’.
Step 5: Choose IMAP Settings
Select ‘POP or IMAP’ option and click ‘Next’.
Step 6: Complete IMAP Setup
Mention ‘imap.googlemail.com’ as Incoming mail server and ‘smtp.googlemail.com’ as Outgoing mail server, then click on ‘More Settings’.
Step 7: Setup Outgoing Server Settings
Click on ‘Outgoing Server’ tab, then select ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ and ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’ option.
Step 8: Setup Advanced Internet E-mail Settings
Click on ‘Advanced’ tab and add ‘993’ as Incoming Server, ‘SSL’ as Incoming server encrypted connection, ‘TLS’ as Outgoing server encrypted connection and ‘587’ as Outgoing Server. Click on OK after making the changes and then on ‘Next’.
Step 9: Automatic Test by Outlook
Upon the addition of Gmail account, Outlook tests the account settings for verification. Close the test pop-up and click on ‘Finish’ to conclude the process
