Tell us about yourself!
OK now you blew my mind.
the idea is brilliant, but now someone needs to put this concept into something that blows everyone's mind!
I am on a similar project myself, but I am using stepper motors, to me the system would be better with steppers (plus, I have some laying around in my house...).also, instead of smooth bars, I am using a linear rail. I don't like those bars/linear bearings very much... not very reliable if you don't buy the best stuff, plus you will need 2.a linear rail on a aluminium beam is far more convenient to put together, WAY stronger and with fewer 3D printed parts. It's a no brainer for me.But still, your project is very cool !
You are very welcome!
Those strips work with 5V, so any cap from 6V will do!
Thanks!Yes this is a very pertinent idea, and I tried it during the development of this project, and it worked well. But on a 3~4m long staircase, it is too short and doesn't make sense very much. It was just weird, like if there was an error or something. But on a 10m rail, yes, this is a very good way to go for sure!
