Tell us about yourself!
Sorry, I don't get your point, what do you mean with arduino analog output graphic?
Super cool, I will try it out as soon as possible!
Hi mbariola,if you want to know more about this kind of LED stripes, please read this document from Adafruit: https://cdn-learn.adafruit.com/downloads/pdf/adafr...It also covers the power supply. ebay is a good source for this type of LED stripes in Germany, or AliExpress if you need more and shipping time of 1 month is no problem ;-)
Thank you for sharing your built!
Thank you for sharing. Are you willing to share the source code so we can make some sort of effect collection for this project?
Sorry, I don't know if there is something on amazon. I did a quick search on google and found this: http://www.reellumber.com/veneer.htm. They have veneer with a thickness of 5 mil which could be thin enough. Maybe this is a starting point.
I have used veneer paper called Microwood, bought from this shop: https://www.modulor.de/en/microwood-paper-backed-v...http://www.microwood.com/information

Link to the 3D file: https://a360.co/2OC2kvZThere is a user parameter thickness in the model, so you are able to change the wall thickness for all parts in one step.
Hi germanf3,as far as I know, sharing in fusion360 only works by publishing a link to the cloud file. I have to cleanup the model a bit before making it public. Should be available soon.
added to step 6
I am sorry, it is just a private project for fun. Maybe you can contact a local fablab to help you with this.
I have now uploaded an example sketch (step 6). If you use a 5V Arduino, you do not need the 74HCT245, only a 470 Ohm resistor between the Arduino Pin and the LED strip DIN.Python code is on Github, you will find the link in step 7.
I have added a sample Arduino sketch to step 6.
Yes, I will add this on the weekend.
Please check out https://www.ponoko.com/. They provide laser cutting services starting from 1 piece.
Thank you! Yes, Arduino is also possible by using NeoPixel or FastLED lib:https://github.com/FastLED/FastLEDhttps://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberg...
Please check out one of my former projects:https://hackaday.io/project/11064-raspberry-pi-ret...
Maybe you can ask a Fablab with a laser cutting machine nearby. Also there are different online shops for laser cutting, what country are you from?
Ithought about this, but then I preferred the easier assembly process by glueingthe stripes on laser cut segments to nicely fit into the rounded shape with thecurrent design. But you are right, wiring is an issue ;-)
