Went to another machine. Got the 192.168.4.1 page. Progress!
The pc used that compiled the sketch was a fairly new laptop. The Arduino IDE had very few additions on it like libraries and only one board URL listed in the preferences dropdown file whereas my daily use PC has 4 board url's on it and a bunch of Arduino libraries. There might have been some conflict. I am not sure. It may have been operator error. I went through your instructions one more time and it worked.
I made it. A cool Clock. Firing up the 3D printer to make a stand. Thanks Hari.
ok, I see the MorphClk WiFi, I click connect, the browser (Firefox) opens MSN.com. No password request option comes up. MorphClk WiFi drop down box says: No Internet, Open . My WiFi analyzer shows the MorphClk signal very strong. Device manager --USB-serial CH340 (com11) device working properly Here's a screen shot of the IDE Serial Monitor. First off is the error message "Failed to open config file". Where is the config file suppose to be located? Maybe my morphClk.ino is corrupted. After detecting double reset it goes into a loop that prints *WM: Request redirected to captive portal. See screen shot.It seems I am so close but no cigar. :( It would be cool just to run it off a RTC module. Thanks for your help.Mo Craft
For some reason that escapes me is I can't connect to 192.168.4.1 before timing out on my pc or cellphone. Error messages:The server at 192.168.4.1 is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.and this on the Arduino IDE serial monitor:
I went to a clean computer and followed your instructions and was able to compile the sketch. After I finish the clock I am going to clean my other machines. Thanks for your reply.
Another great project. And a perfect example of why you should use the metric system. Makes the math easier. IMHO.

What about the .stl file for the case? Is it for sale or share?
Thanks for the post. Followed your detailed instructions with success. Now to find a suitable container. I'll be back to post a picture.12/02/2017
This might help those who want a case: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/83-17925?green=F5EB1707-8C21-5442-A002-14468971F5FA
Make sure you have the right baud rate. 115200.
Thanks for this post. it's just what I'd been looking for that worked. Your instructions are clear and concise and did not send me to that :Error 404 place. By the way, it works better on a Pi 3.
